Connections

Today, I was thinking about connections. Ponder on this: when you join something together, a puzzle piece if you will, both pieces have something that can benefit the other when they are placed in the correct position.

In life, we have people that come in and out like a revolving door. Some are there to help you get from point A to point B, others are there to stop you from destroying your life and then there are those that are there to drain you. Be leery of people who come into your life with the only objective to destroy you before you get to your promise (that’s another subject for another day).

One thing that I have learned is that you will always have someone in your life that you can talk to and get things off your chest, so to speak. But every once in a while, you will encounter someone who is not only there to be your shoulder to cry on, but they are also there to turn those tears into a river of living water. They take your words and put wings behind them.

Being connected to people in this day and age can happen so quickly, by means of social media. If you inventory your social media platforms, most of the people you are connected to are either friends, family, coworkers or the famous “people you should know”. Sometimes, you’ll get a random request by someone you have no idea who they are. These are the people I think are there just there to say that they know you so that when you blow up in life, they can use that pseudo connection to benefit them.

But when you run across a person that not only appreciates the connection they have with you and you can see the fruit of your connection to them, then you will know that this person is a Godsend. I know it may seem like this post is a bit all over the place but this is how I process my thoughts, just the way God gives it to me.

Be encouraged today and spread love every day.
